Also, correct me if I am wrong, but aren't "Regimental" ties formally adopted by English Regiments, and the ones that we wear on this side of the pond, just sad copies?

There are "regimental ties" and "regimental ties"...Ben Silver does offer a limited number of American service ties, ties in decoration colours (the Silver Star, etc.) and unit ties -- I seem to remember one in the colours of the 5th Special Forces flash. I suppose it depends on whether or not the unit association had "officially" adopted it.
