Raise a dram - or pint to his memory
I just came across this sad news. Famed beer and scotch expert Michael Jackson has died.

Back when I was a member of the single malt society, I purchased a book on the subject by him. Taught me more that I ever needed to know about good scotch!
Too bad!

I didn't think of posting it hear when I first found out, but in retrospect, it makes perfect sense: he was a great beer and whisky writer and enthusiast. Here's where I first read of it, and here's where my friend Chris, an author himself, shares his thoughts about the greatest beer advocate I've had the pleasure to meet.
