I also agree. In my more twisted moments I have fantasies of Prince Charlie and Argyl jackets in seersucker. It could happen.

I think that is a good idea. While wearing the kilt will almost always make you stand out, IMHO it is OK to stand out for dressing differently but not to stand out for dressing inappropriately. I wouldn't go to church without a jacket and tie if I was wearing trousers so I wouldn't do it wearing a kilt either.

Now - everyone knows that you only wear the hawaiian prints with a solid color kilt! (which I don't have yet, so, it's been a long time!)

You might want to look into Stillwater's leather kilt jacket. It looks interesting but I finally found some pics of somebody wearing one and it looks too short in the body to me. Might work for you though.

You can only wear that if you belong to the proper Hawaiian clan.

Just to clarify this point.Does this really mean that those shirts and grass skirts can only be worn by members of a proper Hawaiian clan? You do realise that we "The Hawaiian Print Police" could rid the universe of,perhaps, 95% of Hawaiian prints.
