Congratulations and best wishes! Great job on all the kilts. That was a big job to tackle before a wedding.

Wow! So many kind wishes from everyone! Let me see if I can answer all the questions that were asked of me:
Sporrans: We paid for the entire wedding ourselves and just didn't have the money to buy sporrans for everyone, and My partner and I each had one, but we decided in the changing room, that with only 2 of us in sporrans it didn't look right, so we made do without.
The Tartan: We tried to find a tartan that we could all agree on... we did. Then we tried to buy it. I nearly died when I calculated the price -- the photographer was cheaper! We ended up going to the fabric district of Los Angeles, and found a nice wool plaid that the two of us liked, and bought it. We declared it the "Boltz/Keller" Tartan, but really it was just 60" fabric at about $8 a yard.
Pleating: The tall ones (i was going to say adults, but that implies maturity) were wearing box pleats. The Best Men had a basic box pleat, but the grooms had 2x as much fabric in the box pleat as the best men (and boy were they heavy!). I discovered that traditional pleating was quicker after I started sewing (but I like the box pleat look). I was running out of time on the short ones' kilts, so they have a rather wide kinfe pleat (kind of a compramise between the look of the box and the speed of the knife).
The one with the long hair was me (my hair was long at the request of my beloved -- however a month after the wedding, I got it chopped off... and need another hair cut, Long hair looks good, but I teach and work in technical theatre, and I hate spending my evenings getting paint out of my hair)
And again... thank you to all of you for the kind wishes! This forum is great: great people, great advice, and great fun.
If only the kilts weren't so expencive to buy!
Thank you all!
Cheers
Chris

Congratulations to you both and a wonderful series of pictures.
Perhaps you could do some wearing the sporrans?
