3 days Yes I think you are overpacking Chef Listen to a dishwasher (yea dat's my part time job at Viking Cooking School) I am a fairly seasoned traveller. Pack only what you will need for the days you are gone & subtract 1 day. I started that policy about 20 years ago & sometimes I still over pack.

Somehow this conversation reminds me of that scene from "Best in Show." But you can never have too many kilts!

The weather sites are calling for mid-70s all weekend. All the heavyweight kilts you are bringing may be overkill.

And Rocky is on-site so you can always pick up a USA Casual "Off The Rack"!

I'm heading to the Celtic Classic and getting ready to pack. We're planning on staying Fri.-Mon. I'll be running the 5K in my semi-trad MacDonald that Rocky made me, and be wearing my tanks the rest of the time. Going to be a great time!

I may also be taking a BW SWK Heavyweight if it arrives in time.
You do realize that's two kilts per day, and you're not taking a dress up outfit. Do you really want to changing clothes that often? I can see taking one outfit for each day, with maybe a spare in case something gets spilled on you, but no more.

A common travel tip is to choose your outfits so that you only need one color scheme for your accessories. It reduces the amount of stuff you have to pack.
Now, since you're driving, and don't have to carry the bags around an airport, you could take a little more. But, you still have to pack and unpack the stuff, so less is better.
Besides, if you take less stuff, your wife has more room for her stuff.

Make it easy and set up the outfits as you pack. Since you are driving you can put the kilt on a hanger and clip the hose & flashes on with the kilt. Put the shirt/sweater you are going to wear over top of the kilt/hose. Either lay these outfits on the back seat of the car or hang from a clothing bar for the car. Move the hangers from the house to the car, from the car to bellman's cart, from bellman's cart to hotel room closet. NO unpacking at the hotel. Going regimental eliminates underwear. If you have then kilts coordinated so you only have to bring black or brown shoe/belt/sporran you wear these as you drive to the festival. All you have to pack is your toilet kit. Which you place on the small corner of the bathroom counter your SO allows you to have.
5 ro 6 hangers and a toilet kit and you are ready to go . . . OH I forgot two suitcases for single malt that you take with you.

It probably depends on the planned activities . . . if it's just visits with family and/or friends, it may be too much. If you have plans to attend concerts and other social events, it may be about right.

Well it's also supposed to get down to 50 or below at night.

Guys I really appreciate all the Great advise, but I wasn't being totally serious here. It was as I started to pull kilts for the trip I wasn't paying attention and then realised I had that many on the bed. I guess it's just difficult to get sarcasm across on a message board sometimes I'm sure I will whittle it down a bit, but hey a guy needs choices ![Laughing](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)
However I am sure I will still end up with about four on the trip.

That's way too much clothing.
You need to build up your testosterone level.
Several servings of haggis and single malt
whiskey every day, and you won't need anything
but your felidh-mohr and a pair of shoes.
Oh, you're serious.
It's still way too much. One kilt
for each day, and one dressy one
in case you go out at night.
