We've done something like that twice now. One road trip to Seattle for a visit and a great kilt-night, and this past spring with our trip to Las Vegas.
My wife and I love road trips, and if we can combine it with meeting some of the X-Marks rabble...even better!
Make that thrice... Hence my avatar... ;-P

Hold it that in kilometers, now if Mr. Kilt had driven 1,242.74238 miles for a kilt night I would have been impressed.

I don't know about y'all, but I am required to fend off the myriads of advances, seeing as how I have a girlfriend who is a black belt.

You know you're a kiltie when you carry a swatch of fabric from your new kilt to four stores looking for just the perfect shirt!
Been there, done that, got the shirt!
