    Corrupting the neighborhood children…

    Corrupting the neighborhood children…..

Today when I went out to get the mail, one of my neighbors across the street said hello, and asked where I got my kilts. Well this isn’t a quick answer, so it worked around to why she wanted to know. Seems that her son, wants to go to his Senior Prom kilted, and she thought she should get the jump on it. (A Senior Prom is the grand ball or dance that most high schools here in the U. S. have each year for their graduating students. – usually attended in formal attire.)

I asked if she had inter-net access, and she did, so I promised to come over after supper, and show her some sources. I then came back here and printed out my bookmarks, and went over to their house after a bite to eat.

Before I knew it, I had her and her husband, two sons and a neighbor’s son crowding in looking over my shoulder. I showed them many sites, with emphasis on the less expensive, low cost and good service providers. I created a new folder for their bookmarks, and marked every place where they showed interest, or where I knew they would get a quality product.

All were surprised that one could go kilted for as little as is now possible. Many thanks to several of our own advertisers!

We then morphed into a general discussion on kilts, tartan, and all things Scottish. Mark, and Rod (Father and son) both said that they were ready to order a kilt. Fran (the Mother) then quizzed me on hand sewing, or at least modifying clothes. Turns out she has made some pretty ambitious projects in the past, and might be willing to tackle a kilt or modify a jacket.

I then showed them X-Marks, and all the helpful guidance and support available here.

All-in-all, it was a very pleasant couple of hours. I think they are hooked!

Just like at my Lodge - Expose them, let it ferment, and the contagion spreads!!!

See! It pays to wear your kilt with respect and pride!

Superb - that's the best kind of "corruption".
You are a great ambassador for the kilt.

Such a positive sign that young people are starting to get interested in the kilt. The more support for our suppliers the better.
