Hospitals?....Heman?...Kilts in the hospital

My hospital experience was sad.
I was visiting my father in law, and I was kilted.
While I was in his room, an amputee kept going by and I could see from the corner of my eye that he was staring at me. He stopped by several times.

I didn't know what to say or what he was thinking. I still don't.

"Hey how ya doin?" Always a great ice breaker in awkward moments.

Should point out that I wasn't that cold hearted. I was in the ward visiting the bed furthest from the door. The amputee was on the other side of the hallway. He went by perhaps three times and paused each time.
