Reminds me that my new guitar is worth more than all but three of the cars I've owned. Actually, it's worth more than some of the cars combined.
All comes back to: I spent my money on wine, women and song. The rest I squandered.
You can put any kilt into that first list. It's all a matter of priorities.

Guiness is used if they want dark colored wool.

I'm still trying to figure out which of Hamish's kilts was over 1000 quid.
I think I'll stick with the very lovely tweed kilt I got for 30 quid.

$3058.04 for THAT!! That is genuine insanity. As satan (Al Pacino) said in the Devil's Advocate "Vanity is definitely my favorite sin".

I had my credit card out when I realised that I wasn't sutainable or organic. I have taken antibiotics and I don't live in a certified pesticide free environment. I'll stick with my fair trade coffee at $6 a pound. O'Neille

I personally don't know what all the fuss is. No one says, anyone here has to buy one. I don't plan on buying a £ 1500 either but I am sure they will sell quite a few of them whether we buy or not. The fashion elite with money will probably keep them in business. Personally I prefer the £ 640 tweed kilt's design anyway.
The other note is that it doesn't really look like they are in the kilt business. It is just one of the products; so I don't think the business hinges on the success of ultra expensive kilts.
