Badly as I have always wanted an inverness cape, I just never could justify the $700 price tag. But this . . .

I can put my duster away and walk with pride in a fine quality piece of clothing that fits a kilt perfectly. Good job, Kevin.

Besides, like Ron said, oilcloth is really more practical than fine wool anyway.

Thought I'd give this thread a bump, and say I really like the concept - especially for SoCal where insulated jackets aren't really necessary. I'm a big fan of oil-cloth and really like my Driza-bone duster for bad weather, but it's got no real ventilation, is strictly a body sleeve, and the pockets aren't hand-warmer friendly. This has good ventilation, well placed pockets, and can be used to cover what you carry as well.

I like it; I'd even wear it with pants.
