Wonderful presentation Splash!!! I love the photos of the architecture and the colors they use are lovely. I hope you have a wonderful time at the Taj, seeing pictures of it just do not do it justice. It is truely breath taking in person! Wandering the gardens and seeing how the whole complex is designed is amazing. I do hope the weather is good when you go there! Be safe

I really liked the timing on the pictures and transitions. I had to turn down the volume on some of the music to thoroughly enjoy the visual parts.
My Mom will be arriving at the Bangalore Hindustan Airport next Thursday. She'll be in India for a few weeks before she goes to Dubai and Kenya.
I haven't looked at the State Dept. website lately. If Kashmir is back on the semi-safe list then I'd recommend a trip to the lakes/houseboats and Gengis Kahn's palace and gardens.

I have a trip to Bangalore coming up at the end of the month as I travel to Mysore to go on a jungle tour. I will also be heading to Delhi in the next two weeks as I visit one of our centers there. I hope to see much more of the country than this little part called Hyderabad.
As much as I would like to go see the Kashmir area, we are still being advised against it. If I wait too much longer, it will be impossible to get there due to the onset of winter. I had also hoped to get to Goa and the beaches, but it is prohibitively expensive to stay there as it is a resort area.
For those of you wanting to see the presentation in a larger format, you can go to this link and watch it full screen. It does require downloading a plugin to play it, but it is safe.

"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon

Very nice. It's hard to take a bad photo of India.
If you like Mughal architecture---and who doesn't---in Delhi the Red Fort is a wonderful thing to see. It is a palace built by Shah Jahan, and its interior is open pavilions amazingly put together to make the most of breezes and water. It's hard to believe that people lived there.
Up the hill from it is the Jama Masjid, also built by Shah Jahan, the largest mosque in India, and still in use. It's said to be built on the site where one of the Mogul conquerors of Delhi watched his troops sack the city.
The National Museum is often over looked, but has great pieces of art from throughout India's history. It's on Janpath, kind of by the grand mall that runs between India Gate and the President's House.
Sorry to hear you aren't felling well. For nausea and vomiting, you can buy compazine over the counter. For diarrhea drinking lots of liquids is important, especially sports drink if you can get it, to get the electrolytes back in balance. There is a powder sold there called Emo that is supposed to be good for that too, mixed with water. You can also get loperamide over the counter.
I hope you continue to enjoy your time there.
