Your personal kilt is probably what we call a "tank," around here -- hand-sewn from Scottish wool. Jerry's kilts are acrylic, machine sewn, and, in the case of the Thrifty, of much shorter yardage. The Standard is more similar to yours, but is still artificial fabric.
A Stillwater kilt is comfortable, well constructed, and will give you great pleasure for the price -- but don't go expecting it to be the same as your tank, 'cause only a tank is a tank.
