On the east side of the park there is a gate that leads into the old village of Stone Mountain. Going through that gate and passing a very few blocks will lead you to an excellent German restaurant with a wide selection of brews, single malts, and other refreshing beverages.
Why not plan to meet there for dinner, drinks, etc.? It's a very warm and welcome spot for the kilted . . . or non-kilted. And if you are so inlcined, you'll find the best selection of baked goods around these parts.

I know what you mean. I miss it every year due to kids in school and 2 working parents.
We met at Blairsville in Shawhighlander's Clan Shaw tent. Last year at Stone it was just down the way from Gordon. hope to see you there.

Hi All,
I am a new member, but have been reading the posts for several months now. Looking forward to the Clan Lamont hospitality at 1 PM Saturday. Is there any consensus on the red ribbon on the kilt-pin and the German restaurant that thescot mentioned?
Cheers
Parthian.

Are the Red Ribbons in lieu of an XMARKS kilt pin or for long range recognition? Just wondering as the kilt I will be sailing in is red I will have to find a ribbon that will contrast well.

No consensus on the German restaurant, but I'm sure lots of us will be going. I'm game. We can discuss it on Sat.

1:00 at Lamont's tent.
Red ribbons and X-marks pins will work for easy recognition, and you can always wear on your bonnet if you like and if you have red tartan. In fact, I'm thinking of doing just that because it will look good.
I'll be there in Weathered Robertson and khaki shirt (starched, or course), and I'll probably have my ribbons on.
This is going to be great. Just remember to bring enough single malt to pass around!
Like southernScot (a fine gentleman of good breeding) said, we can talk about the German Restaurant then.
