I think the answer is simple. The reason you don't see gents wearing suits posting about comments on the suit is due to a couple of things:
1. The "suit" is a common male garment. A man in a suit is quite ordinary and no one thinks a second thought of it. Put a man in a kilt and it's a different story. The tartan cloth alone is enough to spark interest. Caledonia tartan is far different than grey herringbone. Catch my drift?
2. Because, due to no. 1, a lot of new kilt wearers feel downright insecure about it until they're comfortable.
3. Many (myself included) wish to see the kilt accepted as a man's garment in the modern world and NOT a costume. So, you undoubtedly see many of the "The girl in Wendy's said..." comments due to this line of thought...
There are surely more reasons, but these jump right out at me.
