I think Ron has the idea, a diverse group of people separated and united by a common garmet. But a "suit forum" heaven forbid!!!! It would die from an overwalming sense of boredom

If the day comes that kilts are as common as suits, a forum like this will probably not exist (or not in it's current form).

Well, maybe, but what would we find to talk about around here?

Actually, there are a fair number of sartorial forums out there, and active to boot -- mostly for the profressional buisness types, but my good friend who is a classic "clothes horse" used to talk on one quite regularly.

My two cents
(And to boost my post count)
The positive experiences are from newbies like myself. Let's face it, there are not a lot of kilted folks around. For instance, I don't know anybody in my area who owns a kilt. So, when I have a positive experience with one, I can't call up or visit a local buddy to "swap stories" about my kilted experience.
That's what makes XMarks great--it is a whole community of kilted brothers-in-arms (or should it be brothers-in-kilts?) who can appreciate and understand both the good and bad of wearing a kilt in public. This is the local pub, the frat house, the locker room i(n a virtual sense) for sharing kilted events by those that understand. We give advice, swap stories, show each other our pictures, tease, and appreciate each other. Feel the love!

TatBrad just quoted himself in post #17. He's just padding his post count! he should have ten post counts subtracted for such frivolousness. Ohhhh, this makes #2328 for me! ![Yay](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/yay.gif)
