Ah, the Bloodthirsty Flame-haired Celtic Amazon Goddess is not my bride. No, the lady was swept off her feet and put in the family way by the dashing and literary Panache, long before i came along.
However, I can claim to be her occasional dance partner, and am shameless at making eyes whenever the opportunity presents itself..

The pursuit of being constantly in fashion is an effort to implant into one's life meaning after one has rid one's life of having any meaning beyond the material.
Since there is no universal absolute value of Fashion, it is impossible to progress towards being in Perfect Fashion, and thus the pursuit of being in constant fashion is inevitably doomed to failure.

Thank you! Basically, I was just saying that being fashionable is the same as being a materialist.

Ah, "Fashion." I have never followed it. I have occasionally despised it. I have been known to say that "I am almost never in fashion, but I always have style." I do feel that fashion has a use. Once about every ten to fifteen years (if they are lucky) they (fashion designer types) come up with something worthwhile. It soon goes out of fashion, and then becomes an element of style.

Fashion?????
I have no fashion sense at all. Here's proof. I do hope this offends noone seriously. Also I'm wearing a wig. I left the house though dressed like that and also went in to Home Depot and Walmart like that.

I keep the mullet wig at work for when I'm in the mood. One of the guys at work took the pic for me. I was comfortable and that is what matters.

That is a very true statement. Fashion is a temporary thing determined by the group. Style is a personal statement.
Someone who is fashionable is one who will what everyone else is wearing, whether it looks appropriate on them or not.
Someone who has style will the cut and color of clothes that looks best on them, whether it is the current trend or not.
