I just told mine to let me know where we were going and when to be there. Worked out just fine.

    haha

Just accept the blame, say you're sorry and get on with your life.

That's the shortest way to happiness!

More grief than you know, because not only do you have to deal with her looking for a new dress, but she's wondering why you were looking at her myspace in the first place. You're going to pay for that too. Maybe not now, but wait until you have an argument.
And from now on she's going to be comparing herself to your ex: hair, eyes, voice, walk, clothes, favorite colors -- EVERYTHING! She might not say anything out loud, but she'll be looking for signs from you trying to figure out if you like [...] about her because it reminds you of your ex.

It's going to take a lot of reassuring to get her back on track. Women like having flowers delivered to their job, btw. Done at irregular times for no apparent reason covers a multitude of (minor) sins.

    Listen to this man.

I told my wife the same, just added "I'll be the guy in the kilt..."

    Worked out best that way.

Not that it went any where, but a german politician recently proposed to have marriage liscences expire after 7 years http://www.dw-world.de/dw/article/0,...790031,00.html

Many women seem to be obsessed with planning the wedding. Your experience brings back bittersweet memories. Through university my teenage sweetheart would talk about our future wedding and names for our future children. I didn't see it as something that needed to be rushed into and was waiting till my twenty first birthday before becoming officially engaged and naming the day. Shortly before my birthday she suddenly went off and married her transgender friend, born as male but who later became female. She left it to her dad to break the news and never did get in touch to divide up the items of joint property which we had put by for our future home. I felt the relationship never had a closure - last time I saw her all these years ago she appeared to be so obsessively in love with me that she could not wait till the day we could spend all our time together then we had the usual fond hug and kisses on the station platform. She stepped on the train and we waved to one another as the train moved off. The train went into the tunnel at the end of the platform and I never did see her again, and that was 35 years ago. Later I met someone new who began to talk marriage from the outset and we were married within less than a year and she fell pregnant with our daughter as a result of the honeymoon in Italy. The marriage was a disaster and didn't last long. It seems some women are only interested in marriage and don't care who they catch nor do they think through the practicalities of what happens once the wedding is over. I hope your relationship will work. For me it was third time lucky when I met Ann; my big regret though is that by then we were too old to start a family.
