Another soul waits at the Rainbow Bridge
As some of you know, my dog Mog was diagnosed with lymphoma back in July. We thought things were going well, but things took a turn for the worse last week. He suffered multiple seizures, stopped eating, and tried to stop sleeping as well. He was suffering and miserable, and I couldn't make him go through any more.
We laid him to rest early this afternoon.

I forget who's signature I'm paraphrasing, but: "Days spent in the woods or fields with a dog should not be counted against our time alloted on this earth."
It was a good eight years.

I had to do the same with my Springer about ten years ago. It's a hard decision to say goodbye to a companion after all those years. My thoughts are with you.

Totally heart breaking! I had to do it for my other two 'Girls'. in 2000. (18 year old Cockers). It still gives me a 'twinge', even though I now have two more. Am so sorry.
I tell myself they're playing with St. Francis while awaiting my arrival...... Silly I guess, but whatever gets you through....

He looked like a very fine dog.
My sympathies.

I have fur babies waiting there too. Mog will be greeted. They can play together as they wait for us.
