Great pictures. I have seen and added so many places to my list of places to visit in Scotland thanks to your wonderful pictures!
Just a quick MacArthur fact: The current Chief of the Clan Arthur, Chief John Alexander MacArthur of that Ilk, FSAScot, is the head gardener at Castle Kennedy.
Thanks again,
Sara

Lovely pictures as usual Alex!
I always find it wonderful how people can visit the same places and yet create different photographic impressions of it.

Thanks for sharing the pictures Alex. You have given me more reasons to return to Dumfries!
While I was there this past July, I picked up a book of the collected poems of Robert Burns. I keep it at my bedside and read a few pages most nights before turning out the lights. One of the things I find interesting is the references to local places in and around Dumfries and other places he lived in the vicinity. Now that I have seen the River Nith and a few other places, it is easier to visualize the things that inspired his poetry.
He is beginning to sound like a fellow that you would like to sit around a fire with on a winter's evening, (but lock up your daughter, also!)
Again, greatly enjoy your pictures.
Tom
