It looks really good. I can see that the little room near the front door is just right for sewing kilts. Plenty of light good cross ventilation in the warmer weather. Lets us see pictures after you move in.

Thanks for the good wishes, everyone! This has been a long time coming, pretty much a dream come true. ![Very Happy](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)
I probably won't be online nearly as much as I usually am, we have a lot of work ahead of us to get ready for the sale of our house and the move. I will try to check in every day or two, though.

P.S. I will not let my wife see this thread house envy is not fun to watch and it can get expensive, remodels, painting, nesting fits etc.

Hehehehe!! I know all about home envy. It's a terrible thing, almost as bad as kilt envy. As for handles on the house, great idea but I hope that this will be the last house Karen and I live in. I can definitely see us growing old there.

Yes, the stained glass is a wonderful feature! They upgraded all the windows to modern tri-pane types, but managed to get the glazier to incorporate the original stained glass parts into the new design. I also love the cool cast-iron heat registers.

Sadly the Tea House idea is not going to happen. We may try to come up with something as a business in the future, but for now I'll stick to what I do best, driving. Lots of local trucking opportunities in the area.

Yes, I can see that too! We may have to set up a kilt-making room eventually. Part of the fun will be hunting for antique and other period furnishings that will suit the house. We'll be posting more pics once we get set up.

A very nice choice, the house appears to be in excellent condition. The woodwork, trim and details inside the house are irreplaceable, I think you and your wife did very well.
