Door Closes as Windows Open
Yesterday, I was let go from my job at Overstock.com. I see this as an adventure. I am starting the businesses I meant to start before I got caught up in the job market. So today I am starting my advertising campaign. Unfortunately, my new business is not kilt related, except I hope to be able to afford some new kilts. Overstock.com for everyone in the US, is a great company to work for, but I know I had moved through it as much as I could, and learned as much as I could from the strata I was at.

Started my own business about 5 years ago. And now I'm starting to branch out a bit. And I'm still a one-man show.
It can be an adventure every day...though not all adventures are equal. I've considered throwing in the towel and heading back to the corporate world, but I love the opportunity to do what I can do and not have to get involved in corporate politics.
Good luck to you. You have the right attitude. That can go a long way.

jordanjm,
I have to admire your attitude toward this change in your life. It takes real courage to see opportunity where the timid would see rejection.
I note a few spelling and typographical errors in the curriculum vitae to which you have linked. I would suggest that getting those corrected would be well worthwhile.
Best wishes.
