I talked to "the guy" (my former manager, the one who's recruting me, the one I'm waiting for a number from) on Friday. He informed me then he would have a money offer to me by Monday (today.) It's 1pm here, 2pm there right now and my Blackberry remains silent! THIS is Jones defined. Man, I'm so anxious and nervous I feel like I might puke.

Brad, you just have to assume that he is working the best possible deal for you. You mentioned earlier that he knew what it would take to get you there so, if it ain't right, he'll rework it till it is and THEN send it to you. Hang in there.

Best of luck with the offer and with your decision. Being too hot at work isn't the be all and end all - a colder place than New Mexico could be just fine for you. Up here in the hills on the outskirts of Hawick we had our first snowfall of the winter earlier today, but it turned to rain after an hour or so. Come to think of it, you could always move to MINTO, which is only about five miles from here and has a great golf course - then you could join in the Dumfries kilts nights.

I hate that feeling. It's the worst.
I just tested for a promotion at work, and qualified... that was almost a month ago, but have I heard anything yet? Nooo, of course not!
