Cooler weather finally getting here.
Early this morning (2 AM - couldn't sleep!) I got up, strapped on my light sport kilt, threw on a shirt and walked out on the pateo for a smoke. The cooler weather is here!
I had to go back in and change into a wool blend and also pull on some hose.
I don't know about you guys, but I'm ready for the cooler weather. I tolerate cold much better than heat, and that extends into kilts. I have about the same number of heavy weights as light weights, but the heavier weights, seem to have more variety, slightly better feel, a little more comfort.
I'm really glad the cooler weather is here.

I look forward to the day I can go inside and change kilts due to weather.

Michigan is a little crazy! It gets super cold, then shoots up into the
60's...all in the same day! People comment that they have the heat on in the morning when they travel to work and have the air conditioner on when they travel home. We've had some really cool days, then a few days later (or even the next day!) it feels like late spring. Gotta love Michigan!

hear hear!
I too tolerate the colder weather much better and though it's never too freezing in Virginia, it's a bit sad to be walking around in fall with temps of 70 degrees or more. Might as well have a 100% cotton kilt if that's the case...
I guess that Michigan has a different idea of "cold" than either Cali or Virginia

I love the cold.
Winter is the only time I can actually sleep with blankets, the rest of the year it's a sheet at best, or nothing over me at all.
My wife on the other hand always likes to be covered, and in the winter I can barely find her for all the spreads, comforters, and blankets piled on her side of the bed.
That's just as well, as she radiates heat and I have to tuck her blankets in or I roast.
I love taking the dogs out in the morning, nothing but my Sportkilt and slippers and feeling the chilly air hit my skin.

We just had a huge rainstorm about an hour ago. The temperature then dropped 10 degrees, after it was over.

Sounds like what the weather has been like here in Missouri.

I remember going to college in Illinois. One day all the young ladies would be laying out working on their tans and the next day there would be snow on the ground.
