Here in Aurora we've been getting down to about 28F at night, then up to about 70 in the afternoon. 70F in November! That is what you call unseasonably warm. We should be knee deep in snow by now, but we're still getting up to the 70's. Sheesh. Not that I miss the snow, other than the fact if it doesn't fall soon, we're gonna have one hell of a fire season.

I do prefer the colder weather for the simple fact that it's a lot easier to get warm than it is to cool down.

It's been cool in the mornings here for a while - I only have wool kilts, but it certainly hasn't been too warm for them for a while.

Still bloody hot here - 7C plus wind. What I wouldn't give for some decent weather. At least it's raining.

Although this is my first year wearing kilts I was outside last week in a kilt (Stillwater PV) and short socks. The weather was about 38F and windy. While I was working I was very comfortable.
I would like to purchase a wool kilt to see how survivable the colder temperatures will be for me.

Oh, I'll definitely be giving that a go when the snow starts to fly... if only for the looks I'll get! ;)

One day all the young ladies would be laying out working on their tans and the next day there would be snow on the ground.
Around here, one day all the young ladies will be laying out working on their tans and the next day all the young Canadian ladies will be laying out working on their tans and the locals will be in parkas and mittens.

As much as I like cooler weather, there's definitely something to be said for bikinis.

You remind me of the time that I went to the water park at Canada's Wonderland outside of Toronto...I thought that I was white! My skin has sometimes been described as "transparent" but I looked like George Hamilton compared to those Canadians!

I'm jealous. I love the cold, and I have a new heavweight(22 oz) kilt I'd like to wear more. Daytime temps are still in the 70s and 80s(f) here. Night time lows are barely getting into the 50s. Yesterday it was in the low 90s! When is it going to cool down for me?

It seems to me like Women's dress is basically made for Summer, all with dresses and gowns. Men's dress seems geared for winter, all with 3-piece suits and overcoats. I hate the summer because I am confined to shorts and a t-shirt (although now it's kilt and t-shirt, which is a definite one-up). Winter, on the other hand, I can go all out wearing 5+ layers.

There is nothing like bundling up.

Plus, you can easily put on another scarf in the winter, but you can't very well take off your skin in the summer!

    Matt!
