Ha! Ya'll are killing me...
The problem is with ignorant people, is that they are, well, ignorant. You see, to be uneducated about something is 'ignorant'. I have on many occasions been ignorant about something. When I recognize that I am, I do one of two things. I either (1), choose to learn more about the subject, therefore becoming "un-ignorant", or (2), accept what it is at face value and move on with my life because I just don't care, knowing that even if I did want to learn more, I would probably be worse off because of it.
The problem I have is with what I'll call the ignorant-ignorant. These are the people who are so ignorant, they don't even recognize they are. The ones who open their mouths and spout out their wide-open yaps, usually revealing the current item being masticated and rotting teeth in the process, something that a half-cognizant dunce wouldn't dream of saying. Is that stereotyping? Probably.
Just precisely what ChromeScholar went through in his experience in the "Absolutely bizarre!" thread.
Oh well. I guess I'll just continue to avoid the wal-marts and other ignorant magnets.
Ignormagnets? HA!

Huh, I just noticed something.
ChromeScholar and myself are both in Arizona. I wonder if there is something to that?

Your ignorant-ignorants are what I just call stupid. There is a difference between being ignorant (not understanding something) and being stupid (intentionally refusing to understand or learn).
