Cutty Sark launched on this day in 1869
Cutty sark was launched on this day in 1869 in Dumbarton, Scotland. She is named after a the Robbie Burns poem Tam o'Shanter. For those that like to read, here in Wiki.

I had no idea it was named from a Burns poem!
Its a great ship, the best of its time.
