"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon

I think I can make that one. I like McCracken's. They have quite a diverse selection of scotches and some nice spaces to gather in. OK Gents, let's not let SOKS and Nor-Cal completely embarass SEKS. Gird your loins for the drive and just do it!

After seeing such an overwhelming interest in the KILTS NIGHT event in NYC and other places, it would seem that with so many X-Marks members in our state and region that we ought to be able to have a major blow out. Not only can we wear our kilts and invite others to join us, but maybe even draw a bit of interest and recruit others! Tried to find a time before folks would begin their vacation travels. There is even a kilt on the wall at MacCrackens and the owner has always been extremely friendly. Last time I showed up they took a picture for their walls. IF others are interested, and I DO hope there will be MANY others, I can let him know to expect us!

Great! Do you guys have a copy of my schedule? Do you call my wife and find out when I'm booked? I have so been looking forward to a kilt night somewhere in the Atlanta area and again, previous plans.......actually though, there's not a weekend between now and February I could have made it. Oh well,......have fun. Hope to see you all in the spring.
Respectfully,
David

What do you do and where are you booked? we could probably make a night at one of your venues if they're public.
I plan to be at McCrackens, so at least there will be 2 of us. I've done it there before with 2, on National Tartan day. It snowed that night. It was SO cool.
But, having been stood up before, I will check in here (like when don't I?) to ascertain that I won't be "Turpin, party of one".

I am off that day and believe I can attend! Come on lads who else is up for it?? It's actually where I was St. Paddy's day in '04 before I traveled from there to Run around Sues where I met my wife to be.

We need to get in touch with "thescot" as well. He's in the ATL area and a big fan of Kilt Nights
