We did nearly get snowed in on the way out, major snowfall on the passes. Thank God for 4 wheel drive.

I agree, Ron, that is a fine photo and one that is appropriate to the forthcoming Season. Good choice.

My personal photographer is Tripod Self-Timer (a well connected fellow with the double-barrelled surname!) He's been with me for years too - needs to have been too, snapping someone with an ego as large as mine!!!
At least you take yours out for walkies, Hamish doesn't let his out of the yard.
That's because I have no friends (who know how to use a camera) - apart, that is, from Tri, but he hates working in public places, and we do not have the wide open spaces that Ron has on his doorstep. So, my photos are either taken indoors or out in the garden. It is sad, but true!

Wow! many of my pics are taken by my friend Tri too, using a timer.
The better ones, like this holiday pic, were taken by my lady who takes pictures for a living as a radiology dept manager down in Hopi....
Its a lot of fun, and hopefully somewhat helpful to the newer kilties.

Final results
Okay, here's what the card came out like. What is cool is I passed them out at work to coworkers. Some have their office doors covered with holiday cards...I'm on at least six of them...helps establish the kilt more at work I think.
This is a scan of the card so the colors may be a bit muted.

And Grant, it does snow in the desert once in a while...even in Tucson...not much, but a sprinkle. This pic was taken in the San Juan Mountains of S.W. Colorado...the Rockie Mountains...so it snows a LOT there. First now of this season though so not too much.

Okay, patiently waiting for the edit feature upgrade...should be the Rocky Mountains and the first snow of the season.
