I think the white stripe should be in the blue field, so pleated to the white stripe would still give a great flash of maize.

Having said that, I should tell you that I'm a Spartan, but I support all Michiganders!

Now granted I only spent enough time on the campus to establish residence because my MSc was all done long distance, but in my humble opinion I would reduce each of the maize stripes by two to six threads. Having the Maize so predominant is OK when you know what it is all about but in your Tartan the Maize is washing out the Blue and making it get lost.

You have a really good start and I like it a lot. Just remember "Keep It Simple".
