I agree with James. SWK has spoiled us. I need to let everyone know I have gotten help from Frugal Corner in a pinch. I had an event in early November and needed some items from them (as part of a kilt + accessories package ordered in August). Now, the kilt is still on order. I contacted the customer service dept about getting at least the accessories in time for my event Friday Nov.9th. They assured me they would send them on. The accessories arrived Friday afternoon via Fed Ex, and I happily had the essential items to wear to my event that night.
They CAN be helpful and certainly bailed me out. Now, if I can only get that kilt. . .

I'm not sure its really rocket science - make sure you have enough stock on hand then under-promise and over-deliver. When all else fails - communicate with your customers.

It sounds to me like this company is inconsistent. I will steer away from them, because I don't want to be wondering whether or not my kilt will come.

Good point James. I really hope FC can get past their teething problems and move into a new phase. Its always nice to have several quality vendors to pick from.

This raises a question in my mind. Does Gerry of SWK just get the fabric and have the kilts sewn here, or is all the work done overseas?

I still intend to order from Frugal Corner, as it is the only way I can get the family tartan at a price I can afford.

Well here we are at December 3 and I arrived home from work today to find a package from The Frugal Corner! Huzza! Finall my order placed on November 5 has arrived. The final elements to finish off for this weekends event.
Imagine my disappointment when I opened the box and found that not everything was there and something I had not ordered is!
FC has not responed other than a short message on 11/28 to say that the order finally shipped and a USPS 'tracking' number.
What I received is:
Sporran, no chain belt.
Belt, no buckle.
Kilt pin that I did not order.
What I did not receive:
Chain belt for sporran
Buckle for belt
Black Watch flashes.
Probably best if I hold my tongue as to my true feelings. Lets just say I wish I could put my Claymore to use.
I wonder how my 10th century ancestor from Scotland, Thorfinn I, Skull Splitter, would handle this?
I have sent two emails, info@thefrugalcorner.com, customersupport@thefrugalcorner.com and left a VM. We'll see what tomorrow brings.

Sigh. It's almost as if they are trying to give poor service.
