3 Days till Atlanta Kilt Night Who's on?
Saturday Evening (12/8) at 7:30 MacCrackens Pub Marietta
Last I heard there were four or five of you with plans to join us with your kilts ON! A little lass from Scotland is dying to see some men in kilts and the Irish lady who tends bar and is the originator of the best fish and chips I have ever tasted ANYWHERE is excited that we are coming. Surely with the many in the region represented here we can't be outdone by New York, Texas, or California!!!!! Hey guys, this place hasn't been called HOTLANTA for nothing.... Y'all coming???

I'm going to try really hard to be there, but it isn't looking good at this point. I really hate the thought of missing it, so don't hold it against me if I don't show. I might see you lads there.....

I wonder if I can fly Delta to be there and still be back to work the next day???? Naw, sorry guys, a 16,000 mile round trip for a kilt night just isn't in the cards. But, I do expect pictures!
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon

I had planned along with SouthernScot to make the outting, but it looks like I'll have to be at a basketball game with my stepson. (He's 6'-7", 16 years old; very big deal.) Much as I would love to join in, family comes first.
Drink a wee dram to Thescot and know that my thoughts are with you.
And stand by for a jam-up Burns Supper in January. SouthernScot and I have already begun the planning. It'll be January 25, and I'm making the haggis again.

What would you guys think of putting together a group shot of all in attendance ...maybe even a few of the local lovelies...
and getting THAT off to him next week as a SPECIAL way of knowing that there ARE
many in Georgia who are thinking of all that he is doing for us!!!!
