    Fabulous!

My next jacket conversion will be a Selkirk-inspired conversion. May I still call it a Selkirk?

Although the break looks awefully sharp - and it may be just a tad too sharp - it works well with the shape of the tails. Might need a little refinement, I think, but what you've got is pretty darn close to where it needs to be!

P.S. Aren't we a vain bunch??? How many men these days care so much about how they dress? Too few! Corlis, Hamish, McMurdo, Panache - to name the first four to come to mind - are an inspiration to the rest of us who strive to look so sharp.

Thank you for your very kind words - its an honor to show up in the same sentence as Hamish, MacMurdo, and Panache.

I would be honored by any XMarks member that wants to create a coat based on the Selkirk style. My idea was to look for a new kilt jacket shape and then offer it to the larger kommunity for their use - much along the lines of Alan's terrific gift of the his XKilt to the group.

    Please help yourself!

Sorry, I've been out of the loop this past week or so-missed this thread! That's a sharp looking jacket. You should post another picture with it open, just for comparative purposes.

But maybe that's a little too much corduroy for you

You know, I came back to this thread just now, and the front of this jacket looks much better to me now than it did two weeks ago. Hmmmm....

    Nice job.
