    Is a pottery kilt one which you will wear to do pottery? Just wondering!

    Yes, I will wear it while playing in the pottery mud and gardening. I don't throw on the wheel much anymore, but sculpting can get messy too.
    I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

    Very cool! I've never used the wheel, but I was taught to do "hand building" when I was a novice in Connecticut. It is very relaxing and enjoyable, but, unfortunately, I have not had the time to do it in quite awhile.
    The granite kilt would be perfect for this task!

    I started on the wheel, but took up sculpture. There's some "sitting" issues that I need to figure out when throwing on the weel and kilted. I know that some of the ladies I work with wear skirts. It'll probably be the same type of situation. Hand building doesn't end up as much of a problem though. Thanks for your input on the Granite tartan, and hope you get to work with clay again some day.
