Thank you all for your fine welcome. I will definitely put the Belmont affair on my calendar. For the cyclists, I ride a Calfee carbon fiber w/ Campie compact crank & Mavic wheels. The frame is made locally in nearby Watsonville.

I wore my kilt to last Saturday's Monterey Velo Club Christmas party & enjoyed dancing with many of the beautiful ladies in our club...power of the kilt in action.

If you're a member of a club, you're a more serious cyclist than I! It's great to have another kilt-wearing, cycling accountant on the board, so welcome again! (And thanks for pointing out the CPA/CA connection, w2f!)

Alright! Another Campy guy! I have Campy gear on one of my recumbents (how often do you see THAT?). Calfee builds some awesome frames. Too bad their deal with Freddy Markham fell through...

I was a member of the Monterey Velo Club, 1973-1975!!! I well remember training rides in Pebble Beach and doing the Butterfly Criterium in Pacific Grove!

Not that I was any good, mind you....

Hey, get your friends son on here if he's thinking about entering some Scottish Throwing events. There's a long thread with a mess of information on it, here. Note that I *think* he has to be 17 in order to participate in Nor Cal.
