    I picked up an nice brown oil tan work belt for about twenty at Lowes, AWP brand, and I like it much much more than the other kilt belts with the rectangular hook buckles. I would even go for one of those black woven pvc belts, but I don't do formal so much. Good luck dyeing your belt, I hope it comes out exactly as you want.

    So far so good. I'm on my third dye layer and third rubbing. It is still looking good.
