And here you have stated the reasons why so many of us will say, "If you can swing it, make your first kilt a tank." I blew a lot of money on casual, contemporary, and lesser quality kilts first, thinking I was working my way into something, only to find that, well, I blew a lot of money on casual, contemporary*, and lesser quality kilts once I got my first made-to-measure tank. It is like wearing a work of art. So now I'm saving my pocket change for more kilts with no pockets.

(*But different strokes for different folks: if I didn't have the contemporary ones, I'd probably pine for them, too.)

You look great, by the way. And while I, too, prefer the lay-down collar with black tie, I like how you mixed up your wing-collar with the long tie.
