Grant - I get so much pleasure from a small dram of a nice single malt, that I don't want others to miss out.

Having said that, I also support and applaud those who have chosen to not endulge, for whatever reason. Being a tee-totaller means there's more for me...

I don't like to go drinking with anyone who starts out the night with the idea of getting drunk. That cuts way down on the enjoyment.

I also fully understand (after many many years) the difference between Scots and Scotch.........

By the way - did you just recently add color to your avatar, or are my eyes playing tricks on me?

I just did a search and Colibri has their flask on sale.

    www.colibrimall.com/Colibri-Flasks/cat/Flasks

The Cosmopolitan (4.5 oz) Flask is on sale for $20.18.

Now please note that I pass this information along for those of you who have to carry cough medicine with you and need a nice unbreakable container. Carrying of ferment spirits in this container would not be in keeping with the high standard of this forum.

My avatar is the same, you've just finished staring at Hooters (girls) all night.

James, On the subject of avatars changing. This is the image that jumps into my mind when I think, sweater vest, flask and James. I'm glad the waitresses pooled their tips to bail you out.

I fully intend to carry nothing but cough medicine or possibly Nyquil in my flask, for health emergencies of course. So I guess I'll need a second flask for my single malt.

Jay, I knew I saw you at the Post Office. My mistake was thinking you were in the queue in front of me and not on the wall.

"Here is my belt buckle flask, $10 ebay. Flask just pops out and holds an incredible 2 fl. oz. Lower jaw creates drinking cup."

Yeh, that kinda sums up my drinking career, too.

I actually got my flask -- and ones for some relatives -- from Excalibur gifts, and I was extremely pleased with it/them. 6oz, I think, and since I don't chug my Oban from it, that seems to be a nice quantity. My main concern was that I wanted something a bit flat, and still round -- most that I've seen were too deep/thick, and take up a lot of space in the sporran. So I got this one:

    6 oz. Oval Liquor Flask
    http://www.excaliburcutlery.com/flas...t_detail&p=368

And, for the record, they were phenomenal folks to deal with -- I ordered them and needed to get them in 3-4 days for a wedding -- I paid for 2nd day shipping, and they had it out the door within 24 hours, and everything was perfect. It's not rocket science, but still, I enjoy every positive customer-service experience!

I'm gonna keep an eye out for one like McFarkus got -- that looks quite nice too!

    Cheers all!

Just for my 2 cents, I never go to a Highland games without my sporran flask. It's a fun ritual to swap flasks with your buddies to sample the different waters.
