Very interesting pics, Robertson, and I looked out my Landranger map (No.84 Dumfries and Castle Douglas area) to try to work out on it where exactly you'd walked. I've done a bit of walking around that area myself but not that particular trail. Definitely one to add to my to do list. Its certainly been brilliant weather for walking here - crisp and sunny with the temperature around 32 degrees fahrenheit - perfect weather for striding out boldly in a heavyweight kilt.

Excellent pics. Glad the weather has been good for hiking there. It's bloody hot here (my wool got good and soaked last Saturday as the thermometer hit 70 F before I got back from a 5-mile jaunt).
