The Darwin awards are listed each year for those who are so stupid they remove themselves from the gene pool, often before they manage to pass the "stupidity gene" on to a new generation. My wife follows the same tactic, she waits till we're home before saying anything. She knows I'll tolerate most anything said about me short of questioning my integrity or honor but will not tolerate the slightest remark about her. Sadly for her, I tend to hear things around me pretty good. Luckily for her, I'm good sized and usually look cranky to most folks so they keep quiet. Like John Wayne said, Life is tough, it's tougher if you're stupid. It should be plenty tough on them.

a) the stupid often have high tolerances for pain, and
b) the delay between the stupid action and the pain exceeds their attention span, preventing them from making the connection.
