I'm biased, I want more universal tartans!

From a more practical side...a universal tartan can be worn by folks that also wear clan tartans AND folks who don't feel comfortable wearing clan tartans (like me). Double win for SWK if you think about it.

Also, selfishly, there are far less options out there for someone like me who only has universal or solid color kilts to choose from.

I agree. That is a problem for me as well. If we're going down that road, some more Irish tartans would be great.

For me I'd like see all the military tartans in the heavyweight. Specifically the US Army and the Seabees. (Dad was a Seabee)
Also, if he could find a McGregor, that would be sweet.

    County Cork, anyone??
And it's kinda universal; many wine drinkers can wear it too!

Also, I wouldn't mind a nice Doyle kilt.

There is. SWK only has the USMC tartan right now, so perhaps they might do it in the future.
That being said, I kind of would like to see a wool Hunting Wallace, I might even go for a wool regular Wallace if the red and yellow aren't too red and yellow...

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

As Ted C. stated, there is a US Army tartan. It is available in wool.
It is also available in pv from USA Kilts. See here: http://www.usakilts.com/casual_kilts.php

Anything in Matheson would be cool. This one is pretty cool, too.
