All coldness is relative. The coldest feeling that I can remember was in Viet Nam of all places. It once dropped down to 58F and we were just miserable and shivering. Couldn't get warm for two days. We were adjusted to the wet tropics and ...... well, you understand.
Chase and Jay can probably tell us about being cold at weird temps right now!

I certainly do. I was staying in the Caribbean about twenty-five years ago when it dropped down to 64F overnight. I woke up with a fever the next day, almost missed my flight home. I think that it's still a record there.
Amazing what a difference glass windows make against chill.

Jay,
I remember a few of those evenings especially after a monsoon had rolled through - but I have to admit I think my Brim Frost days in Alaska (-65 degrees) were even colder. The hairs in my nose froze up on me and the gear shift in my truck snapped off. We even had separate heaters for our car batteries - to keep them from freezing up, mine managed to freeze up anyway.

You are quite right about the heaters. Everyone here "winterizes" their vehicles. This consists of putting in a battery heater, oil pan heater, and an engine block heater (where the frost plug is.) If you don't you'll freeze your vehicle up for sure.
Oh, I never had an opportunity to participate in Brim Frost, but I did go to Northern Edge a few times....

I remember driving around in parts of Minnesota and Alaska and wondering why there were electrical outlets in the curbs.....

Agreed we were in Brive in France at a rugby match one December the stadium had stands down either side and open at either end. We stood at one of the ends as you walked towards the stands you could physically feel it getting colder as the concrete sucked the warmth from you.
