Paul, at work we wash our keyboards in hot water and then blow them dry with a blast of compressed air so you may be able to rescue yours. Try it when you have a new keyboard then you may have a reserve

So did I, but I've been dealing with this possessed laptop for a month now. Paul, disconnect the keyboard and spray contact cleaner or alcohol all down between the keys. (saturate it) Pick it up and shake it around, then turn it upside down and shake out the excess. Let it dry for a hours and plug it back into the computer. That might fix it.

Keybaords can be purchased so cheap now days that I always have a spare. Gives new meaning to plug and play.
