An aside, for those who might not know: Irish coffee was invented by Chef Joe Sheridan in Foynes. The concoction was created to warm up the travellers on the early flying boats that stopped on the coast of Ireland. When a passenger asked if the coffee was Brazilian Chef Sheridan replied that it was Irish coffee, and so it began.
