Awesome Christmas gifts
So,
I made off with some cool loot for Christmas. Top o' the cake is my wife getting me a nice gift certificate to Stillwater Kilts!
Now, I just have to wait for something I'd like in my size in the heavyweights that I like, to come in.
I'd really like to get the Black Watch but they dodn't have one in my size just now. I'm not really into solid color kilts, so I have to wait.
What'd you get?
T.

cool stuff
My mother and my girlfriend got together and decided to make me a kilt. I get to choose the color and material, and once I lose a few inches of extra girth I gained in the last few months, I'll measure up and we'll see how it goes.
My girlfriend bought me a cool sporran.
I got some other non-kilt-related goodies, too.

My wife gave me a beautiful cowhide dress sporran from www.kiltgoodies.com and my son! (with a little help from his Mom) gave me a tan Balmoral hat from www.glengarryhats.com.
Amazing gifts. I will treasure the one that my son wanted to give me till the day I die.
Cheers

I got lots of loot and gave some loot. Eh, it's more about getting to be with people for me. I guess I got some clothing that will go well with my kilts. I didn't get to spend Christmas day with my cats, they probably didn't know, but they did get a couple of cans of yummy cat food when I got back.

Reason: The cat thing.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

My wife gave me a sewing machine, so I'm going to be starting on that kilt making soon.
But first, I have ot learn how to thread it and sew a stitch!

I got to spend an entire day with my Mother in Law and Father in Law and my wife, with no interruptions. We went for a Christmas Day stroll to Sycamore Grove Park. We had a quiet dinner, and I took video and pictures to remember it by.
It doesn't get any better than that.
I also happened to get a great Stillwater black/chrome belt and some popcorn-top hose from my wife and MIL.

Way too much stuff, but a couple of things that were kilt related. A new, much nicer dress sporan in fake harp seal, three kilt pins, a glengerry rosette, and a nice celtic cross necklace.
What I really wanted was Whirled Peas - - - maybe next year.

Spent all our effort on the kids, got Brandon a Sportkilt in Scott Green, amongst other things. Got the wife some jewelry, but she wants our presents to each other to be a weekend alone when she gets back from the sandbox next month. Besides, I spent too much on myself this year anyway.

And a ticket to a Burns Supper, also a gift certificate to the local tartan shop where I went to have my Isle of Skye sewn up, along with a few other things.
