    Scottish Broadsword

I may be receiving a Scottish broadsword in the next month or so. I'm wondering what sort of belt, etc. would be used to wear it with a kilt. Anyone know/have pictures?

The sheathe I can understand. Why would I need a license?

It would be a separate sword belt, right?

The Scots wore their broadswords on over-the-shoulder baldrics. You can buy one here:

    and here:

You don't need a "sword license" inthe USA! Sheesh....

Thanks! I was just about to ask about baldrics.

Jeez, I could probably make one of those...

I got this really cool brown leather belt with a big ol' sword frog on it. And while I still plan on getting a baldric eventually, I can't complain about how this one looks in the meantime.

Renaissance fairs, SCA fairs, and for clan marches, I would bet.

Clan Henderson has a bodyguard orginization; members of the guard are required to wear a Scottish weapon of some sort, like a dirk, claymore or broadsword.
