    there have been a few already. It may be that historically, kilt wearers were mostly knitters. ISTR that manly Scotsmen, of necessity, were pretty good with a needle.

    Who knows, maybe real, real, real men wear pink kilts and knit their own hose!


    I started a simple scarf project once upon a time, got as far as learning to cast on and knit a garter stitch. Diane, pleater, string, et al. have inspired me to think about brushing up my chops, and perhaps even learning to purl. timber has inspired me anew with those gorgeous hose. My wife just gave me a set of double-pointed needles, so we shall see what we shall see.
