I like sarcasm - keeps the spice in the conversations.......![Laughing](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)
Keep up the good works mods - you know, Moderating!
Rome was not built in a day, nor a fully functioning forum. (And this one seems to work and function very well indeed!)
There also is very good argument for simplicity. If a thing is off topic, what is wrong with placing it in the off topic area?

Seems like the Clann Alba forum is the place to have serious history discussions.. Link is in Mike1's sig line.

We've given the suggestion of a separate History forum section some consideration and have decided to not move forward with the idea.
Sometimes it is better to just do what you know you can do well and not try to be all things to all people. We want to stick with our strength and that is kilt discussions.
We do appreciate input from members of the forum, so if you have ideas that you think would make this a better site, we always want to hear them.

Thanks for the consideration. After some thought, it does seem a little excessive .

Maybe not so much excessive as simply being out of this forum's scope.
If you're looking for a place to discuss Scottish history, you might find this a good place to do it.
