are the Sisters of St. Andrew a Scottish order?
As far as I can ascertain the Augustine Sisters of St. Andrew appear to have originated in Belgium but were better known as a French order.

I had planned to wear a traditional tartan kilt for this outing, but there was a very strong wind this morning and on going through my kilt collection I reluctantly decided it had to be either the Blaklader, which is my longest and one of my heaviest kilts, or else the first day in trousers since September. It certainly protected my modesty very well.

Thanks for that link, Andrew. It was very informative about a congregation unknown to me. I'll just mention that the nuns changed from an Augustinian one to a group which follows the Jesuit rule in the 17th c.

I wonder how you might find a UK in such weather. One model includes a "modesty" flap which can be buttoned up for occasions which might prove embarrassing.

I'm not sure if the Scottish Sisters of St. Andrew also changed their following - there is a sign at the entrance to the care home which says "Augustinian Care", so I had assumed that the nuns were still part of the Augustine order.

Really? That goes go to show how limited online info can be, and how complicated religious orders can be!!

The Scottish and European Sisters form one international congregation, founded and headquartered in Belgium, thus would all follow the same Rule and Constitutions. Their website is very clear about how they live in in the Ignatian spirit, but perhaps they have kept a formal observance of the Rule of St. Augustine which their foundresses adopted as their way of life in the 13th century. Otherwise it might just be a reflection of their historical origins. Thanks for your info
