My dog actually quite likes wearing my kilts. He likes the attention.

Pip is such a cute dog Arlen, I'm sure Niko would not be as happy to be kilted so I won't even try it.

Sorry, I find the idea of dressing up animals to be rather silly. I know people think it's cute but it doesn't do anything for me.

When I started this thread, I said I didn't know if I should laugh or cry. I think I will do both. I will laugh because the dogs do look funny, and I will cry because, I too, think that it is a shame to try to make pets into humans. They come closer to being human all on their own; they don't need our help.

I followed that link but I got sidetracked by another photo and forgot about the dogs. And that's all I'm going to say else the Mods will have to talk to me too.

As I was thinking about this, I realized that I should mention that there are times when you have to put something on the dog.
Some of you might remember Skippy, the walk-on dog that we ended up keeping.

This is the first LITTLE dog that I've ever had and when you take him out in the cold he gets cold FAST...very little mass there. I bought him a navy blue commando sweater at Target...no foolin'...they had dog commando sweaters.
What I forgot was that I got a navy blue commando sweater from LL Bean (and I recommend those sweaters as being reasonably priced and really warm). So, of course, my wife said, "Oh...is this some kind of father/son fashion statement?" And I had to swear that I totally forgot that I had the matching people sweater.
But we do look sooooooo cuuuuute together...
Best

I have to agree with Chef. I love my dog, but would never dress him up. Also, in reference to the first article, I have furry white legs and my kilt looks grand with them!

I don't think I could get my dog into a kilt. On the other hand I can't keep my cats out of them.
