Well, Riverkilt, I could say a bit more..., but I think that would be removed for a number of reasons, LOL.
Just to change the topic back to kilts, here is a little review, and I will put a copy in the first post also.
Review
The standard SWK Nightstalker is made from an acrylic fabric, I don't know the weight, but it is lighter than the wool. The acrylic has a much smoother texture which isn't a problem, but I worry about fuzz developing and also that it will be snagged easily. I don't wear it too often for that reason. The hang and swing and all that isn't as good as wool, but that fabric has a soft comfortable feel to it. I want to say like some kinds of sweaters. That's the part I like about the acrylic...
The Weathered Lamont (1/2 set), (13 Oz SWK wool heavyweight kilt) really does hang and swing better. The wool has a texture and feel like no other fabric. I haven't gotten around to correcting the SWK first pleat/apron taper issue, but it isn't too bad.
I don't see how the two fabrics can be compared, there's too big a difference. I try not to think of them as the same kind of kilt, or use them in the same way. That being said, I would be happy if SWK would start making the Nightstalker in the heavyweight wool again.

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…
